Motorized Linear Stage 25mm 10nm 1100mms

Motorized linear stage part of PIMag series from Piezo Tech. The V-408 offers an inexpensive motion solution with an iron core 3-phase linear motor to deliver direct motion without friction. Linear stage is capable of 1100 mm/s with a resolution of 10 nm. Iron core motors provide a low cost, compact solution that maximize the magnetic forces while keeping a high thermal stability for the drive. Position measurements are taken directly at the motion platform eliminating influences from nonlinearity, mechanical play, and elastic deformation to give highly accurate position measurements. Minimum incremental motion is 20 nm and the incremental linear encoder has a sensor signal period of 80 um. Bidirectional repeatability for the system is +/- 0.1 um. Guide mechanism features crossed roller bearings which require less preload provide a considerably stiffer and smoother operation with high accuracy and load capacity. Straightness for the system is +/- 4 um while the pitch and yaw are held within +/- 150 urad. Load capacity normal to the stage is 80 N. Linear guide creep is prevented by force-guided rolling element cages. The aluminum construction is finished with black anodization and the overall mass for the system is 0.79 kg. This stage offers a compact design at an affordable price well suited for industry and research. This stage is also available in a model with 50 mm of travel capable of 1500 mm/s motion.
